Description

A high-strength, lightweight 15% Glycolic Acid lotion for experienced AHA users. It exfoliates effectively on both the face and body, relieving roughness caused by sun damage, hyperkeratosis and keratosis pilaris.

Key benefits

  • Smooths rough, sun-damaged skin
  • Helps relieve roughness linked to hyperkeratosis
  • Softens the bumps of keratosis pilaris
  • Lightweight texture for face and body

Best for
Experienced glycolic acid users with normal or sun-damaged, ageing skin, and rough areas on the body. Not suitable as a first AHA product or for sensitive skin. Fragrance-free.

How to use
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin on the face or body once daily, usually in the evening, avoiding the eyes, lips and broken skin. Because this formula contains exfoliating acids, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning, even on cloudy days. Patch test on a small area for 24–48 hours before first use, and if you notice stinging or redness, reduce how often you apply it.

The science behind the formula
15% Glycolic Acid, the workhorse of the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family, loosens the bonds between dead surface cells so rough, thickened skin is shed more evenly. The result is smoother texture and a more refined surface.

Clinic tip
On the body, it works well on the backs of arms and on dry shins. On the face, alternate nights with a retinoid rather than layering them together unless I have advised otherwise.
