Your Skincare Routine After Microneedling: What to Use and When

Microneedling and RF microneedling work by creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen and elastin. What you put on your skin in the days that follow makes a real difference to how quickly it settles and how good your results look.

The first 24–48 hours: calm and protect

Skin will feel warm, tight and look pink, similar to mild sunburn. Keep your routine minimal:

Days 3–7: rehydrate

As redness fades, skin may feel dry or slightly flaky. Focus on hydration and barrier repair:

From week 2: reintroduce your actives

Once your skin feels completely comfortable, gradually return to your usual routine, including vitamin C and vitamin A. Medik8 Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ is an excellent partner to a course of collagen-stimulating treatments.

Every single day: SPF

Freshly treated skin is more vulnerable to sun damage and pigmentation. Apply Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect SPF 50+ every morning, even on cloudy days, and reapply when outdoors.

Always follow the personalised aftercare you receive after your treatment. Learn more about microneedling and RF microneedling at SkinVitál Clinic.
