  3. Fit the mask and adjust the straps for a comfortable, close fit.
  4. Choose your mode, intensity (40, 50 or 60 mW/cm²) and session time.
  5. Follow with your usual serum, moisturiser and SPF 50 in the morning.

Red: Dermal Renewal Mode (660nm + 850nm)
Your core mode for firmness, deep skin renewal and sensitive or compromised-looking skin. 5 to 10 minutes, 3 to 5 times a week.

Blue: Clear Skin Mode (460nm + 660nm + 850nm)
For oily, congested or problematic skin. 5 to 10 minutes, 1 to 2 times a week for 2 to 4 weeks only. Use short-term, not daily long-term.

Yellow: Glow Mode (590nm + 850nm)
For glow, calming, and tired or stressed-looking skin. 5 to 10 minutes, 2 to 4 times a week.

Purple: Full Spectrum Mode (all four wavelengths)
For full-face rejuvenation and ongoing skin maintenance. 5 to 10 minutes, 1 to 3 times a week.

Good to know
The sweet spot for home rejuvenation is 5 to 10 minutes per session. A 20-minute session is a high dose and best used only occasionally, and should be avoided in Blue and Purple modes. If you are concerned about pigmentation, avoid any mode that contains blue light.

The Science Behind the Formula

Four clinically proven wavelengths

  • 460nm blue light works at the skin's surface, clarifying and balancing bacteria to help calm visible congestion.
  • 590nm yellow light supports glow and skin calming, and helps promote an even-looking tone.
  • 660nm red light reaches the dermis to support collagen regeneration, firmness and long-term skin renewal.
  • 850nm near-infrared is the deepest-reaching wavelength, supporting deep dermal renewal and recovery.

Understanding your LED dose
LED dose is measured in J/cm² and calculated as irradiance × time. The mask offers three irradiance levels (40, 50 and 60 mW/cm²) and 5, 10 and 20 minute sessions. The sweet spot for home rejuvenation is 15 to 30 J/cm², usually 5 to 10 minutes. 20 minutes at 60 mW/cm² delivers 72 J/cm², a high dose best used only occasionally. Higher doses are not necessary and may reduce the overall benefit.

Dose guide by mode

  • Red: 40 mW/cm² for 10 min = 24 J/cm² (ideal regeneration dose); 50 mW/cm² for 5 min = 15 J/cm² (maintenance) or 10 min = 30 J/cm² (strong rejuvenation); 60 mW/cm² for 5 min = 18 J/cm² (excellent collagen-support dose) or 10 min = 36 J/cm² (higher end, 2 to 3 times weekly).
  • Blue: 40 mW/cm² for 5 min = 12 J/cm² (gentle clarity support) or 10 min = 24 J/cm² (short course only); 50 mW/cm² for 5 min = 15 J/cm² (ideal for congested skin weeks); 60 mW/cm² for 5 min = 18 J/cm² (stronger surface-clearing support).
  • Yellow: 40 mW/cm² for 10 min = 24 J/cm² (glow and comfort dose); 50 mW/cm² for 5 min = 15 J/cm² (weekly radiance boost) or 10 min = 30 J/cm² (strong skin refresh); 60 mW/cm² for 5 min = 18 J/cm² (high-end glow support).
  • Purple: 40 mW/cm² for 5 min = 12 J/cm² (gentle maintenance) or 10 min = 24 J/cm² (ideal rejuvenation and balance); 50 mW/cm² for 5 min = 15 J/cm² (weekly maintenance); 60 mW/cm² for 5 min = 18 J/cm² (strong full-face activation).

Contraindications and precautions

Do not use if you: have light-triggered epilepsy; have a known light sensitivity condition; are currently receiving cancer treatment; have an active cancer in the area to be treated; are taking medication that increases light sensitivity (such as certain acne medications, some antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs or St John's Wort); have a suspicious or undiagnosed skin lesion; or are pregnant (as a precaution). If unsure, speak to your GP before use.

Speak to your practitioner before use if you have: a history of seizures; an autoimmune condition; a heart condition or circulation concerns; a pacemaker or implanted medical device; or have had steroid injections within the last 4 weeks.

Do not use on active cold sores or viral outbreaks, open wounds, burns or broken skin, or skin that is extremely inflamed or flaring. Allow the skin to heal fully before resuming.

Eye safety: never place the device directly over the eyes, always wear the recommended eye protection, and never use blue light without eye shields.

If your skin is very sensitive or compromised, use a lower intensity and shorter sessions. If you have recently had injectables, seek professional advice before use. If you are unsure about anything, consult Jo before continuing.
